Sarah was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. After that, she has lived on the Eastside of Los Angeles. She is currently based and does her work in Altadena. Trauma is something that has shaped her understanding of the world and relation to it. Her work has become a site for recovery and self-discovery. Loss, the unconscious, and growth are all subjects she focuses on. Her creation process tends to be more organic than overanalyzed with the intent to represent a shared human experience. Sarah chooses between film photography, poetry, drawing in graphite, or drawing in ink as mediums to best execute what it is she is trying to convey. Sarah is currently working towards her Master's in Fine Arts at Otis College of Art and Design located in Los Angeles.
